Italian sub, thick with many layers of cold cuts, cheese, lettuce and Mayo on great crust bread, serves two. A hearty lunch. Pre-made in refrigerated display case 12.95 a deal considering the generous amount of meats including prosciutto, porchetta, salami, coppa, mortadella and more

Lucca is a cozy deli in one of the major shopping streets of the Marina. Upon entry, please take a number from their stack of number cards and wait for them to call your number. Should take around 5 min. I ordered their #1 Italian combo which is an elevated classic Italian sandwich. They add dark green lettuce to it and some good-sized Italian peppers. I took this delicious sandwich to a nearby park and enjoyed every bite, especially the bread. I don't know which is the bread they gave me since they didn't ask what I wanted but I'm going to guess it's a soft Italian roll. Maybe others can chime in and let me know what the default is. The bread is mildly flaky on the outside and soft inside. Definitely worth the trek from the peninsula to here and would get this one again.

I love LUCCA Deli as I've noted in my past reviews, BUT, it is annoying when I get the sigh just for asking sliced meats to be cut as thin as possible. Worth noting, when I asked for thin sliced meats when the (female) biz owner (I think the place is now owned by a sister and brother) was present; she responded, no need to apologize, we're always happy to accommodate. Yet today, when I asked for " as thin as possible" I got the predictable sigh then the catty chatter between 2- staff members! Unprofessional and really disappointing!

Delicious sandwiches, cheese, cold cuts and fresh pasta! Lucca is conveniently located on Chestnut in the Marina and super accessible by bus. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and there weren't too many people. I got the caggiano sandwich which was really flavorful. I loved the sour and sweetness from the Cole slaw paired with baked ham (which they stuffed in there). The bread was also delicious though I wish it were a bit more toasted. While I waited for my sandwich I browsed their mouthwatering cooler section. The coolers were filled with a variety of fresh pastas, sauces, ready to eat meals, cheeses and meats. I will definitely be coming back to try them!
